Adoptable Birds

Meet Nemo!

IMG_7412.jpeg

Lover of Women, Hater of Beards (and probably your husband). 🦜❤️🚫🧔

Nemo is a 12-year-old Umbrella Cockatoo with a very refined taste in people—specifically, women. He’s got charm, floof, and a dramatic flair that’ll melt your heart… unless you're a man. In that case, prepare to get your steps in—because Nemo’s favorite cardio is foot-chasing or a random swoop onto unsuspecting males like it’s his mission to protect.

He’s looking for a female-only household—preferably one without tiny humans running underfoot and with someone confident enough to set a few loving, firm boundaries (because Nemo’s a sweetheart, but also... Nemo). With just a little structure, he’ll ditch his drama and turn into the goofy, cuddly sidekick every bird-loving woman dreams of.

Think of him as your feathered soulmate—who will never ghost you, but may wage a daily turf war with your boyfriend.

Meet Newton

IMG_3576.jpeg

Meet Newton — The Distinguished Gentleman With a Silly Side 🦜🩶

Don’t let the slightly poofy feathers fool you — Newton is a 20-year-old Congo African Grey with a heart as soft as his fluff. He’s a sweet, quiet guy who loves his fresh veggies, gentle head scritches, and the occasional “beek boop” (his personal love language).

Newton came to us alongside Emma the Jenday Conure after their person, who loved them deeply, faced tough life and health changes and wanted to be sure they were safe.

He’s easy-going but will need a little time and patience to warm up — once he trusts you, he’s calm company and quiet conversation all rolled into one beautiful bird.

If you’re looking for a thoughtful feathered friend who’s happy just sharing space and snacks, Newton might be your guy.

✨ First step: complete our adoption application + home video walkthrough. Once approved, you can schedule a meet & greet — but, of course, Newton gets the final say!

Meet Ave

Meet Harriet

IMG_5327.jpeg

Harriet is a 4-year-old Quaker parrot with a big personality packed into a little body! While we can’t say for sure what her exact color mutation is, one thing’s certain — she’s absolutely stunning. Her feathers shimmer in soft hues that match her bold, spunky attitude.

True to her Quaker roots, Harriet is full of opinions and isn’t shy about sharing them! She’s got that classic “boss bird” energy — loves to ride on shoulders, supervise your every move, and make sure things are done her way. Despite her sass, she’s endearing and full of character, always ready to bring laughter and life to your home.

Harriet would thrive with someone who appreciates that fiery Quaker charm and is ready for a feathered sidekick who keeps things entertaining. If you’re looking for a little parrot with a lot of personality, Harriet’s your girl!

Meet Rocket

IMG_3964.jpg

Rocket is a charming 15-year-old Congo African Grey, ready to find his forever home. He comes with all the bells and whistles, including the sweetest, most country “come on girl” charm that will steal your heart.

Rocket will thrive with a patient and experienced owner who understands the importance of allowing him to set the pace for bonding and trust.

His journey to a loving relationship is one of patience and mutual respect, but the love he offers in return is truly priceless.

Could you be the one to give Rocket the loving home he deserves?

Meet Quirk & Hawkins

IMG_3568.jpeg

Quirk (a 9-year-old pineapple conure) and Hawkins (a 9-year-old green cheek conure) are the ultimate tiny-but-mighty duo. They're sweet, sassy, and totally inseparable—think of them as the bird version of that couple who finishes each other’s sentences (and snacks).

Yes, the after-shower pics don’t quite do their stunning feathers justice, but trust us—they clean up very nicely. These two are full of personality, love to chatter, and bring double the joy, double the snuggles, and yes... sometimes double the chaos.

They must be adopted together—breaking up this bond is not on the table. Looking for a pair that will keep you laughing, entertained, and loved up every day? Quirk and Hawkins are ready for their forever flock.

Meet Razzle

IMG_4842.jpg

Meet Razzle —

At 25 years young, this beautiful female Umbrella Cockatoo is the definition of gentle grace. Razzle is sweet, demure, and soft-spoken… until she decides it’s party time — and out comes her signature car alarm impression!

She’s a sensitive soul who gets a little nervous going in and out of her cage, so she’ll do best with someone who has cockatoo experience and plenty of patience to help her feel safe and build trust at her own pace. Once she knows you’re one of the good ones, she absolutely melts for soft words and gentle scritches.

Razzle is also doing wonderfully with her diet conversion, learning to enjoy her new, healthier lifestyle with pellets and fresh daily chop. With time, love, and consistency, she’ll make a deeply rewarding and loyal companion — the kind that makes every bit of effort worth it.

✨ Sweet. Sensitive. A little sassy. Razzle’s ready to find the human who understands her heart and her hilarious siren song.

Meet the Lovebirds

IMG_3569.jpeg

Love is in the Air — Meet Our Adorable Lovebird Pair💕🦜

Looking for double the cuteness and twice the happy chirps?

We’ve got a sweet lovebird pair— all about a year old — who came from a home that quickly learned just how… ahem… productive lovebirds can be. 😅

These pairs aren’t DNA sexed, but they’ve each chosen their ride-or-die buddy and are thriving together. Playful, curious, and full of personality, they’ll bring sunshine and sweet chatter to any bird-savvy home. (We don't promote breeding)

Whether you’re a first-time small parrot parent or an experienced flock leader, these little duos are ready to charm their way into your heart (and maybe onto your shoulder).

✨ First step: complete our adoption application + home video walkthrough. Once approved, we’ll set up a meet & greet — but remember, the lovebirds get final pick!

Meet Bell

IMG_4845.jpg

Meet Bell — the tiny parrot with the biggest heart (and the cutest “mew mew mew” you’ve ever heard).

This 25-year-old Timneh African Grey is pure sweetness wrapped in soft feathers and even softer charm. Bell has a gentle soul and an adorable habit of meowing like a cat — her signature “mew mew mew” will melt you on the spot.

She’s friendly and social, happily stepping up for just about anyone who offers her a hand. Recently, she’s started to overpreen a bit, but it’s a very recent behavior and we’re confident that with more out-of-cage time, enrichment, and love, she’ll be back to showing off her sleek, gorgeous plumage soon.

Bell thrives on attention, conversation, and connection. The perfect match for her will be someone who has plenty of time for daily interaction, stimulating toys, and a warm heart to share.

✨ Sweet, talkative, and endlessly endearing — Bell is ready to charm her way right into your heart (and maybe your cat’s, too).

Meet Chili

IMG_5191.png

Meet Chili — a bright soul with a heart as warm as his name. 🌶️

At 32 years old, this charming Yellow-Naped Amazon has lived a life filled with love. Chili spent his entire life with one devoted family who adored him deeply. As they’ve grown older and faced health challenges, they made the heartbreaking but selfless decision to help Chili find a safe and loving landing for his next adventure.

Chili is full of personality — vocal, chatty, and wonderfully animated. He loves to hang out on his cage or perch, keeping an eye on everything going on around him and joining in the conversation whenever he pleases.

He hasn’t been around other birds much before arriving here, so he can get a little overexcited when he sees them. He’s shown no aggression toward other birds, but his enthusiasm can sometimes make him a bit “spicy” toward his humans — so supervision and gentle guidance will help him adjust smoothly.

✨ Loyal, talkative, and full of life — Chili’s ready to bring warmth, laughter, and a little bit of spice to the right forever home.

Meet Brandi

IMG_5192.jpeg

At 27 years old, this lovely Blue and Gold Macaw has already lived quite the journey. Brandi spent most of her life cherished by one family until life took an unexpected turn, and she found herself at a rescue in South Florida about a year ago. When that rescue had to close its doors due to health reasons, Brandi made her way to us — and we couldn’t be happier to have her.  She is definitely a favorite around here.

Brandi may look a little like a rotisserie chicken, but don’t let the lack of feathers fool you — she’s got plenty of personality and even more love to give. She’s not a big talker, but she’ll happily spend hours being held, soaking up attention, and gazing into your eyes like you’re the only human in the world.

She’ll likely do best with a female owner who has macaw experience, patience, and a whole lot of love to give. With consistency, enrichment, and affection, she’ll continue to blossom into the confident, beautiful soul she’s meant to be.

✨ Sweet, soulful, and a little sassy — Brandi proves that true beauty has nothing to do with feathers.

Meet Angel

IMG_5193.jpeg

Meet Angel — the talkative, bowlegged beauty who’ll steal your heart (and finish your song). 💙💛

At 21 years old, this delightful Blue and Gold Macaw lives up to her name in every way. Angel is an absolute character — she’ll happily join you in singing Old MacDonald, punctuating it with a proud “oink oink!” and an occasional “meow!” for flair. She’s funny, active, and loves to show off her silly side — often teasing with a playful “baaad!” when she knows she’s being mischievous.

Angel came to us as a transfer from another rescue that had to close its doors, and she does have a few special needs. Somewhere along the way, it appears something fell on her, leaving her with healed fractures in both legs and her keel bone. While she occasionally sports a bowlegged stance, she gets around beautifully — but she does need extra care to prevent falls or accidental flights that could cause reinjury.

Despite her past, Angel radiates joy. She’s vibrant, interactive, and one of the staff favorites here for good reason — her spirit is absolutely contagious.

Her perfect match will be someone with large bird experience, a safe setup, and a heart big enough to give her the extra care she deserves.

✨ Funny, fearless, and full of heart

starburst.jpg

Meet Starburst

Meet Starburst — your new pocket-sized project manager.

Age? Unknown. Attitude? Fully intact. We’re guessing around 10-ish years old, but this tiny lovebird still has more energy and opinions than most of us on our second cup of coffee.

Starburst loves attention, loves being involved, and absolutely loves riding around on your shoulder like a feathery little supervisor. If you work at a desk, just know you’re not “working from home” — you’re working for Starburst. Expect commentary. Expect judgment. Expect adorable micromanagement.

“Step up” is… not their thing. A gentle scoop, however? Works every time. Starburst will pretend it was their idea anyway.

If you want a small, hilarious companion who will keep you entertained, keep you company, and keep you humble, Starburst is ready to move in and take over your daily operations.

IMG_3965.jpg

Meet Lil Bit — a survivor with a story that still stops me in my tracks.

Lil Bit is a Congo African Grey who came from one of the worst (and I've seen some damn doosies) hoarding situations I’ve ever stepped into — 50–60 dogs and cats inside a house, and whatever you’re imagining… multiply it by a thousand. The smell. The filth. The chaos. Her cage was buried in layers of grime, cobwebs, and feathers so thick that people truly believed she had died two weeks before her owner. No one even knew she was still there.

But she was.
Quiet. Hidden. Hanging on.

After removing the other birds, I found her by pure chance — a tiny, exhausted grey in the corner of a nightmare. And from that moment forward, she was safe.

Fast-forward to now: Lil Bit has grown back most of her feathers, her spirit is back online, and she’s turned into the sweetest, gentlest girl. She’s easy to love and even easier to root for.

Here’s the deal, though:
Every bird here deserves the best home, but the ones who’ve already lived through hell? They get extra scrutiny — and I make absolutely zero apologies for that. Lil Bit will never go back to anything even remotely close to what she came from. Ever.

It’s taken two years to even consider adoption as an option for her, and the bar is high — as it should be. But for the right person, with the right patience, stability, and heart, Lil Bit will be an incredible, loyal companion. She’s living proof that resilience comes in small doses… and sometimes, in a Congo Grey named Lil Bit.

If you think you might be that person, we’ll talk. She’s worth every bit of the care and caution.

Meet Lil Bit

Adoption Process & Requirements

Welcome! We're so glad you're thinking about adopting one of our amazing birds. This isn’t a quick pet shop pickup - it’s a commitment. And we’re here to make sure it’s the right fit for both you and the bird. Our process is built around transparency, preparation, and long-term success. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know before applying.

🏠 Adoption Requirements

🚫 No Smoking Indoors
Indoor smoke is a dealbreaker. It’s toxic to parrots. Outdoor smokers may still qualify, but if smoke ever enters your home—sorry, it’s a no.

💼 You Must Be the Decision-Maker
If you rent or live with others, we need to know you’re the primary decision-maker and that everyone in the home is fully on board.

⭐ Age Requirements for Larger Birds
To adopt a bird larger than a cockatiel, you must be at least 21. Occasionally, we make exceptions for mature younger applicants, but generally experience matters.

❌ No Surprise Gifts
Birds are not presents. The person caring for the bird must complete the process and be approved.

🏢 Apartments Aren’t Ideal for Big Birds
Macaws and cockatoos are LOUD. Apartment living isn’t suitable for their needs - and it’s not fair to your neighbors or the bird.

🚫 Seed-Only Diets Are Out
Birds must be fed a balanced diet that includes pellets. Seed-only diets cause serious health problems. Recommended brands: Harrison’s, Roudybush, TOPS, Higgins inTune, Lafeber’s.

⚠️ Return Policy
If things don’t work out, the bird comes back to us. No reselling, rehoming, or gifting.

✅ Other Pets? Totally Fine!
We love multi-pet homes! As long as all animals are safe and well cared for, you're good.

🔢 How the Adoption Process Works

Step 1: Submit Your Application
Start by filling out the adoption application at the top of the page. Tell us about your home, experience, lifestyle, and what kind of bird you're looking for. Be detailed!

Step 2: Messenger Interview
Send us a message on Facebook once your application is in. We’ll schedule a short video interview via Messenger, including a home walkthrough.

Step 3: Be Ready
Once approved, prep your home. Have your cage, toys, and food ready BEFORE you come. If you don’t have a cage, we may have some for sale at a fair price.

Step 4: Meet & Match
Come to the rescue to meet birds that match your energy. If it’s a good fit, and you’re prepared, you may be able to adopt the same day.

Step 5: Bring Home Day!
You’ll need a proper-sized travel carrier and your adoption fee. We accept cash, Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App (no checks). If you're picking up a cage, make sure your vehicle has space!

🚤 Travel Tip: Bring bird-safe snacks like grapes, almonds, or apple slices to make the trip more comfortable for your new friend.

📄 Not Every Match Is Perfect (And That’s Okay!)

You have 60 days post-adoption to make sure the match is right, not "they're loud" or "I got bit". If it doesn’t work out, you can do a one-time swap for another bird at the rescue. If the second bird isn’t a fit either, it's probably not the bird!  Then, your fee becomes a donation.  We'll gladly provide a tax-deductible receipt.

IMPORTANT:

Whether it’s 6 days or 6 years from now - if you ever need to give up your bird, FOR ANY REASON, they MUST come back to us. It's in our contract and yes, it's legally binding.  No rehoming. No reselling.  No giving them away.  No exceptions.  We are here to protect each and every one that comes through our doors.

💳 Where Your Adoption Fee Goes

Your adoption fee keeps this rescue running. Here's how:

  • High-quality food (TOPS pellets and fresh produce)

  • Medical care (bloodwork, exams, emergency treatment)

  • Safe rescue, transport & intake setup

  • Enrichment (toys, playstands, aviary builds, appropriate cages)

  • Facility costs (heating, cooling, cleaning, repairs, security)

We don’t cut corners. Your support allows us to give every bird the best chance at a happy, healthy future.

              [Apply to Adopt Now] →

Thank you for choosing rescue. These birds deserve it.

Our adoption fees are set well below typical pet store prices—not because these birds aren’t priceless, but because we’re not here to sell animals. We’re here to rescue, rehab, and place them safely.

Those fees go right back into the flock: food, vet care, toys, enrichment, utilities, and keeping the facility running so we can keep saying “yes” when a bird needs help.
