Meet Newton

IMG_3576.jpeg

Hello there.
I’m Newton.
20 years old.
Congo African Grey.
Refined. Soft-spoken. Mildly poofy. Intentionally charming.

Don’t let the slightly fluffed feathers fool you — beneath this dignified exterior is a tender soul with a surprisingly silly streak. I’m a sweet, quiet guy who appreciates the finer things in life:
🥦 Fresh veggies
🫶 Gentle head scritches
🤖 The occasional “beek boop” (this is my love language — please respect it)I came to the rescue with my friends after our person, who loved us deeply, faced some difficult life and health changes and wanted to make sure we stayed safe. It wasn’t easy — but it was done with love.

I’m easy-going by nature, though I do prefer to take my time getting to know new people. Trust matters to me. Once you earn it, I’m calm companionship wrapped in grey feathers — happy to share space, snacks, and quiet moments.

✨ My ideal home:

  • Patient and gentle

  • Appreciates a quieter bird

  • Enjoys peaceful company over chaos

  • Understands that bonding happens on my timeline

If you’re looking for a thoughtful feathered friend who doesn’t need to be the loudest voice in the room — just a steady, comforting presence — I might be your guy.

✨ First step: Complete our adoption application and home video walkthrough. Once approved, you can schedule a meet & greet…
but let’s be clear — I get the final say. 🩶🦜

Meet Harriet

IMG_5327.jpeg

Hello.
My name is Harriet.
I am 4 years old.
I am small, stunning, and absolutely running the show.

We’re not 100% sure what my exact color mutation is, but what is confirmed is that I am ridiculously beautiful. My feathers shimmer in soft, elegant hues—perfectly coordinated with my bold personality and unshakable confidence.

Let’s talk temperament:
✔️ Big opinions
✔️ Boss bird energy
✔️ Zero hesitation sharing my thoughtsI am a classic Quaker through and through. I love shoulder rides so I can properly supervise. I believe every task goes better with my oversight. Laundry? Cooking? Emails? I should be involved. Preferably from your shoulder.

Despite my sass (which is non-negotiable), I’m endlessly entertaining, full of character, and guaranteed to keep life interesting. I bring the laughs, the commentary, and the occasional “excuse me, that’s not how we do it” vibe.

✨ My ideal human:

  • Appreciates strong-willed birds

  • Understands Quakers are not background noise

  • Enjoys a feathered sidekick with opinions

  • Is emotionally prepared to be mildly judged (lovingly)

If you’re looking for a little parrot with a lot of personality, a built-in supervisor, and a daily reminder that size means absolutely nothing…
Harriet is your girl. 🦜💚

Meet Rocket

IMG_3964.jpg

Hey there.
Name’s Rocket.
15 years old.
Congo African Grey.
Charming. Observant. Emotionally complex. Worth the wait.

I come fully equipped with all the bells and whistles, including my signature move: a soft, sweet, very country
👉 “come onnn girl…”
(which—fair warning—will absolutely melt you into a puddle).

Now let’s set expectations, because I believe in honesty.I’m not the bird who rushes into relationships. I prefer:
✔️ Patience
✔️ Respect
✔️ Letting me set the pace🦜

Trust is something I build carefully and intentionally. I’m watching. Learning. Deciding. And when I choose you? That bond is deep, meaningful, and priceless.

I’ll thrive with an experienced, calm, emotionally intelligent human—someone who understands that the best relationships aren’t forced, they’re earned. Someone who knows that quiet moments matter just as much as interaction. Someone who doesn’t need instant gratification… because the payoff with me is next-level.

✨ My ideal home:

  • Patient and bird-savvy

  • Low pressure, high respect

  • Willing to meet me where I am

  • Ready for a lifelong, soul-level bond

I may not be flashy right out of the gate—but when I love, I love for real.

So… could you be the one?
Because if you are, I’ve got a soft voice, a big heart, and a whole lot of love waiting just for you. 🩶

Meet Sunny

IMG_6690.jpeg

Hi. Hello. Yes, it’s me.
Sunny.
20 years old.
Sun Conure.
Emotionally expressive. Loud by design.

I am currently accepting applications for my Official Snuggle Buddy™ and lifelong emotional support human.

Let’s get a few things straight right away:

  • I am bright (visually and energetically)

  • I have opinions

  • I believe personal space is a suggestion, not a rule

I thrive on:
🌞 Shoulder time
🌞 Being involved in everything you’re doing
🌞 Snuggles, scritches, and dramatic affection
🌞 Singing the song of my people at absolutely unnecessary volumes

I do not thrive on:
🚫 Being ignored
🚫 Being treated like “just a bird”
🚫 Quiet households who fear joy (or noise)

Despite my big personality, I am a total lovebug at heart. I want to be near you, on you, touching you, supervising you. If you sit down, I will assume that is an invitation. If you leave the room, I will file a formal complaint.

I’m 20 years young, which in sun conure years means I’m seasoned, confident, and fully aware of my own greatness. I’m looking for someone who understands that conures are not decor—we are relationships.

✨ Ideal Home:

  • Someone home often

  • Someone who enjoys interaction and affection

  • Someone who understands conure volume is part of the charm

  • Bonus points if you talk back to me (I will absolutely respond)

If you’re searching for a snuggle buddy with feathers, sass, and sunshine energy, I might just be your guy.

Apply to adopt Sunny — your life will never be quiet again… but it will be full of love. 💛🦜

Meet Razzle

IMG_4842.jpg

Hello, darling.
I’m Razzle.
25 years young.
Umbrella Cockatoo.
Graceful. Gentle. Occasionally… very loud.

I’m the definition of sweet and demure—quiet, soft-spoken, and tender-hearted… until I decide it’s party time. That’s when I debut my award-winning car alarm impression, just to keep things exciting.

I’m a sensitive girl and can feel a little unsure going in and out of my cage, so I’m looking for a cockatoo-savvy human with patience, calm energy, and a big heart. Trust is everything to me. Please don’t rush me—I promise the payoff is worth it.

Once I know you’re one of the good ones, I absolutely melt for:
🫶 Soft voices
🫶 Gentle scritches
🫶 Consistent, reassuring routines

I’m also doing wonderfully with my diet glow-up—learning to enjoy pellets and fresh daily chop like the refined lady I am. Healthy body, happy heart.

✨ My ideal home:

  • Cockatoo experience preferred

  • Gentle, patient, emotionally aware human

  • Calm environment with consistency

  • Someone who appreciates both quiet sweetness and occasional chaos

If you’re looking for a deeply loyal, emotionally rich companion—one who will make you laugh, test your patience just a little, and love you fiercely in return…
Razzle is ready to meet you. 🤍🦜

Meet Brandi

IMG_5192.jpeg

Hi.
I’m Brandi.
27 years old.
Blue & Gold Macaw.
Beloved. Well-traveled. Absolute favorite around here.

I spent most of my life cherished by one family, until life did that thing where it flips the script. About a year ago, I found myself at a rescue in South Florida. When that rescue had to close due to health reasons, I packed up my emotional baggage (and feathers… or lack thereof) and landed here. And honestly? Best plot twist yet.

Now let’s address the elephant in the room.
Yes… I resemble a rotisserie chicken.
No… I am not bothered.
Because underneath the nakedness lives a heart of pure gold.

I’m not much of a talker, but I am a world-class snuggler. I will happily:
🫶 Be held for hours
🫶 Soak up affection
🫶 Stare deeply into your soul like you are my entire universe

I connect deeply with my people and will do best with a female, macaw-experienced human who understands patience, consistency, and the emotional depth of a big parrot with a tender heart.

With enrichment, routine, and love, I continue to blossom into the confident, beautiful soul I’ve always been—feathers or not.

✨ Sweet. Soulful. A little sassy.
✨ Proof that true beauty has absolutely nothing to do with feathers.

If you’re ready to love a macaw exactly as she is…
Brandi is ready to love you right back. 💙💛🦜

PENDING ADOPTION

Meet Angel

IMG_5193.jpeg

Hi. Hello.
I’m Angel.
21 years old.
Blue & Gold Macaw.
Professional vocalist. Full-time entertainer. Absolute scene-stealer.

I will gladly sing Old MacDonald with you—and I will finish it better. Expect enthusiastic “oink oink!” and the occasional “meow!” for dramatic flair. I’m funny, active, and just a little mischievous. When I know I’m being bad? I’ll proudly announce it with a drawn-out “baaaad!” because accountability is important.I came to the rescue as a transfer from another rescue that had to close its doors. Somewhere along my journey, something heavy fell on me, leaving me with healed fractures in both legs and my keel bone. As a result, I sometimes rock a bowlegged stance—but don’t get it twisted… I get around beautifully.

That said, I do need:
✔️ Extra precautions
✔️ A safe, well-thought-out setup
✔️ Help avoiding falls or accidental flights

And in return? You get pure joy on feathers.

Despite my past, my spirit is bright, bold, and downright contagious. I’m interactive, confident, and a staff favorite for very good reason—I make people smile without even trying.

✨ My ideal human:

  • Large bird experience

  • Safety-focused and attentive

  • Big heart, gentle hands

  • Appreciates personality in large doses

✨ Funny. Fearless. Full of heart.
If you’re ready for laughter, music, and a macaw who lives life loudly and lovingly…
Angel is ready to steal your heart (and your song). 💙💛🦜

starburst.jpg

Meet Starburst

Hi.
Name’s Starburst.
Age? Unknown.
Vibe? Fully operational.
Estimated experience level: about 10-ish years of running households.

I may be tiny, but make no mistake—I have energy, opinions, and a strong desire to be involved in absolutely everything you’re doing. Especially if it looks important. Especially if you didn’t ask.

I love attention.
I love shoulder rides.
And I love supervising your day like a feathery little boss with no off switch.

If you work at a desk, just know this now:
You are not working from home.
You are working for Starburst.

Expect:
✔️ Live commentary
✔️ Mild judgment
✔️ Aggressive cuteness
✔️ Top-tier micromanagement

Now let’s talk handling, because honesty matters.
“Step up”? …meh. Not my thing.
A gentle scoop? Flawless execution every time.
I will, however, act like it was my idea.

If you’re looking for a small, hilarious companion who will keep you entertained, keep you company, and keep your ego in check—
Starburst is ready to move in and assume full control of daily operations. 🌈🦜

IMG_3965.jpg

Some stories stay with you forever.
Lil Bit is one of those.

Lil Bit is a Congo African Grey who came from one of the worst hoarding situations I’ve ever walked into—and that’s saying something.
Fifty to sixty dogs and cats inside one house.
The smell. The filth. The chaos.
Whatever you’re picturing… multiply it by a thousand. Her cage was buried under layers of grime, cobwebs, and feathers so thick that people truly believed she had died weeks earlier. No one even knew she was still there.

But she was.

Quiet.

Hidden.

Hanging on.

Meet Lil Bit

After removing the other birds, I found her by chance—a tiny, exhausted grey tucked into the corner of a nightmare. From that moment forward, everything changed.

She was safe.

Fast forward to today:
Lil Bit has grown back most of her feathers.
Her spirit is back online.
And she has become one of the sweetest, gentlest birds you could ever hope to meet.

She’s easy to love.
And even easier to root for.

Now here’s the truth—no sugarcoating it:
Every bird here deserves a great home.
But the ones who have already survived hell?
They get extra scrutiny.

No apologies. None.

Lil Bit will never go back to anything even remotely close to what she came from. Ever.

It has taken two years to even consider adoption for her. The bar is high—exactly where it should be. But for the right person, with patience, stability, and a steady heart, Lil Bit will be an incredible, deeply loyal companion.

She is living proof that resilience comes in small doses…
and sometimes, it comes in the form of a Congo Grey named Lil Bit.

If you think you might be that person, we’ll talk.
She’s worth every ounce of care, caution, and commitment. 🩶🦜

Meet Angel

IMG_7125.jpeg

Hello.
I’m Angel.
30 years old.
Goffin’s Cockatoo.
Lover. Loyalist. Professional heart-holder.

I spent my entire life loving one person—my daddy. He was my world, and I was his. When his health began to decline, heartbreaking decisions had to be made, and that’s how I found my way here. Not because I wasn’t loved… but because I was.

I was beautifully cared for my whole life, and in true hard-loving cockatoo fashion, I plucked because my heart was wrapped so tightly around my person. Love runs deep with me. Very deep.I’m a sweet girl, a little shy at first, but once I feel safe?
Ohhh yes… head scritches are my weakness.
Slow. Gentle. Respectful.

(Body rubs are a very limited situation—because boundaries matter and we do not break the “let’s mate” rule.)

I’m learning that love can look different now. That new humans can be kind. That trust can grow again.

✨ My ideal human:

  • Cockatoo-savvy and emotionally aware

  • Gentle, patient, and respectful of boundaries

  • Understands plucking tied to emotional bonds

  • Looking for a real relationship, not a novelty

I’m not loud for attention. I don’t demand affection.
I just want someone willing to earn my trust and offer love without rushing me.

If you’re looking for a bird who loves deeply, bonds fiercely, and just wants a safe place to land again…
Angel is waiting. 🤍🦜

Meet Mika & Tookay

IMG_7077.jpeg
IMG_7083.jpeg

Hello.
We are Mika and Tookay.
25 years old.
Blue & Gold Macaw + Greenwing Macaw.
Together since day one. Separating us is not an option.

We’ve shared our entire lives side by side. Not mates—just deeply, undeniably bonded. We spend our days together, our nights sleeping peacefully next to each other in separate cages, and our lives moving in sync the way only long-term companions do.

A little backstory—because it matters.

We were deeply loved by our family. A few months ago, we lost our daddy, and yeah… that one hit hard. Tookay has a couple chest feathers he’s fussed with since then (grief looks different on everyone), but overall we are in absolutely stunning condition. Our feathers are radiant, smooth, tight, and brilliant—the kind that make people stop mid-sentence.

Our mom made the incredibly selfless, heartbreaking decision to ensure our safety and happiness as she ages and can no longer provide the level of care we’ve known our whole lives. This transition was made from a place of deep love—not neglect, not failure.

Let’s talk personalities:
🦜 Tookay (Greenwing, named because he originally cost $2k 😉)
Outgoing. Confident. A little extra. Emotional but resilient.

🦜 Mika (Blue & Gold)
Softer. Quieter. Steady. Content just being close. We balance each other beautifully.

✨ What we need:

  • We must be adopted together (non-negotiable)

  • Large bird experience

  • Tolerance for big noises, big wings, and big messes

  • Space, structure, and understanding

  • A home that respects lifelong bonds

Separating us now—especially when there are no behavioral issues—would be cruel. We’ve already lost enough.

If you’re experienced, patient, and ready for double the macaw magic, double the sound, double the cleanup, and double the reward…
we’re ready to bring a lifetime of color, connection, and companionship into your home.

Mika & Tookay — together always

Meet Kelly

IMG_6862.jpeg

Hello there.
My name is Kelly.
I’m 40 years old.
Red-Lored Amazon.
Seasoned. Sweet. Quietly resilient.

I was purchased from a pet store in Texas about four decades ago and wear an open band, which likely means I began life as a wild-caught juvenile. From there, I spent my entire life with one human—loved, cared for, and known deeply—until my person passed away.

After that, family stepped in and did their very best. They loved me enough to recognize that I needed more than they could give… and that’s how I found my way here, to safety and a fresh start.

And let me tell you—I am thriving.I have discovered my true passions:
🚿 Long, glorious showers (non-negotiable)
☀️ Sitting by the window, supervising the world
🗣️ Being spoken to sweetly (yes, please keep talking)

I’m a bit reserved at first, but there isn’t a mean bone in my body. I prefer to step up onto a small perch first, and once I’m comfortable, I’ll happily step right onto your hand. Trust is important to me—and I appreciate humans who respect that.

I’m currently being weaned off a seed-heavy diet and adjusting beautifully. I’m more active, moving around better, and after spending the last few years in a smaller cage, I’m even learning to play with toys again—which feels like rediscovering a little piece of joy.

✨ My ideal human:

  • Patient and gentle

  • Enjoys calm companionship

  • Loves talking sweetly to their bird

  • Understands older Amazons have stories—and wisdom

I’m not loud or demanding. I don’t rush into things.
I just want kindness, consistency, and someone who sees me for who I am now—not where I’ve been.

With a little patience and a lot of love,
I will make someone a truly wonderful companion. 💚🦜

Adoption Process & Requirements

Welcome! We're so glad you're thinking about adopting one of our amazing birds. This isn’t a quick pet shop pickup - it’s a commitment. And we’re here to make sure it’s the right fit for both you and the bird. Our process is built around transparency, preparation, and long-term success. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know before applying.

🏠 Adoption Requirements

🚫 No Smoking Indoors
Indoor smoke is a dealbreaker. It’s toxic to parrots. Outdoor smokers may still qualify, but if smoke ever enters your home—sorry, it’s a no.

💼 You Must Be the Decision-Maker
If you rent or live with others, we need to know you’re the primary decision-maker and that everyone in the home is fully on board.

⭐ Age Requirements for Larger Birds
To adopt a bird larger than a cockatiel, you must be at least 21. Occasionally, we make exceptions for mature younger applicants, but generally experience matters.

❌ No Surprise Gifts
Birds are not presents. The person caring for the bird must complete the process and be approved.

🏢 Apartments Aren’t Ideal for Big Birds
Macaws and cockatoos are LOUD. Apartment living isn’t suitable for their needs - and it’s not fair to your neighbors or the bird.

🚫 Seed-Only Diets Are Out
Birds must be fed a balanced diet that includes pellets. Seed-only diets cause serious health problems. Recommended brands: Harrison’s, Roudybush, TOPS, Higgins inTune, Lafeber’s.

⚠️ Return Policy
If things don’t work out, the bird comes back to us. No reselling, rehoming, or gifting.

✅ Other Pets? Totally Fine!
We love multi-pet homes! As long as all animals are safe and well cared for, you're good.

🔢 How the Adoption Process Works

Step 1: Submit Your Application
Start by filling out the adoption application at the top of the page. Tell us about your home, experience, lifestyle, and what kind of bird you're looking for. Be detailed!

Step 2: Messenger Interview
Send us a message on Facebook once your application is in. We’ll schedule a short video interview via Messenger, including a home walkthrough.

Step 3: Be Ready
Once approved, prep your home. Have your cage, toys, and food ready BEFORE you come. If you don’t have a cage, we may have some for sale at a fair price.

Step 4: Meet & Match
Come to the rescue to meet birds that match your energy. If it’s a good fit, and you’re prepared, you may be able to adopt the same day.

Step 5: Bring Home Day!
You’ll need a proper-sized travel carrier and your adoption fee. We accept cash, Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App (no checks). If you're picking up a cage, make sure your vehicle has space!

🚤 Travel Tip: Bring bird-safe snacks like grapes, almonds, or apple slices to make the trip more comfortable for your new friend.

📄 Not Every Match Is Perfect (And That’s Okay!)

You have 60 days post-adoption to make sure the match is right, not "they're loud" or "I got bit". If it doesn’t work out, you can do a one-time swap for another bird at the rescue. If the second bird isn’t a fit either, it's probably not the bird!  Then, your fee becomes a donation.  We'll gladly provide a tax-deductible receipt.

IMPORTANT:

Whether it’s 6 days or 6 years from now - if you ever need to give up your bird, FOR ANY REASON, they MUST come back to us. It's in our contract and yes, it's legally binding.  No rehoming. No reselling.  No giving them away.  No exceptions.  We are here to protect each and every one that comes through our doors.

💳 Where Your Adoption Fee Goes

Your adoption fee keeps this rescue running. Here's how:

  • High-quality food (TOPS pellets and fresh produce)

  • Medical care (bloodwork, exams, emergency treatment)

  • Safe rescue, transport & intake setup

  • Enrichment (toys, playstands, aviary builds, appropriate cages)

  • Facility costs (heating, cooling, cleaning, repairs, security)

We don’t cut corners. Your support allows us to give every bird the best chance at a happy, healthy future.

Ready to begin?

              [Apply to Adopt Now] →

Thank you for choosing rescue. These birds deserve it.

Our adoption fees are set well below typical pet store prices—not because these birds aren’t priceless, but because we’re not here to sell animals. We’re here to rescue, rehab, and place them safely.

Those fees go right back into the flock: food, vet care, toys, enrichment, utilities, and keeping the facility running so we can keep saying “yes” when a bird needs help.

Payment Details

  • Digital payments (Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, credit/debit cards)
→ A 4% processing fee is added to cover transaction costs

  • Cash
    → No additional fees

  • Checks
→ Not accepted for adoptions or cage purchases

  • Rare or high-demand species
