Every bird has a story.

Some arrive because their owner passed away.
Some come from neglect or abuse.
Some are deeply loved but can no longer be cared for due to illness, financial hardship, military relocation, or life changes.
No matter how they arrive, every bird receives the same thing:
Safety.
Proper nutrition.
Veterinary care.
Patience.
Respect.
A chance at a better future.
Love.
Totally Flocked Avian Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit parrot rescue located in Molino, Florida. We are USDA and FWC compliant and dedicated exclusively to parrots and companion birds.
We understand why birds are surrendered

Life happens.
Birds come to us for many reasons:
• Owner illness or declining health
• Death of an owner
• Financial hardship
• Relocation
• Divorce or family changes
• Housing restrictions
• Behavioral challenges
• Noise concerns
• Birds that outlive their owners
• Birds needing specialized care
Surrendering a bird does not mean you failed.
Sometimes it is the most loving decision you can make.
Our promise is simple: no bird left behind.
Until each one is safe, nourished, and loved; WE are here.

Why parrots end up in rescues
Parrots can live 20 to 80+ years.
Many people are unprepared for:
• The noise
• The expense
• The mess
• The commitment
• The emotional needs
• The specialized diets
Our goal is not only to rescue birds, but to educate current and future owners.

One of the biggest myths about rescue parrots is that they are somehow "damaged goods."
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Many birds enter rescue through no fault of their own.
Their owners may have become ill, passed away, moved, faced financial hardship, or simply found themselves unable to provide the care their bird deserved.
Some birds arrive confident and social from day one. Others may need time to learn that they can trust again. Just like people, every bird processes change differently.
What we see every day is that parrots are incredibly resilient. They are capable of forming new bonds, building new routines, and becoming deeply loved members of a new family.
A bird's past does not define its future.
Many of our most successful adoptions have involved birds who simply needed patience, understanding, and the opportunity to connect with the right person.
Rescue is not where a bird's story ends.
For many, it's where their best chapter begins.
Rescued does not mean
"broken"
